Compared with Shopify Campaign Autopilot
Campaign Autopilot is the closest thing to this idea built into a store: it creates, funds and launches ad and email campaigns from your Shopify admin, for free. It differs most in how hard its limits are and in what its record shows.
What it does well
Campaign Autopilot is the most direct version of the idea, and it’s free. It works from your store’s sales data, creates and funds campaigns, launches them on its own or after your approval, and adjusts them as results come in.
- Free and built into the Shopify admin you already use.
- Runs ads and email from your store’s own sales data.
- Launches ads on its own, or waits in Pending actions if you require approval.
- Guardrails for target return on ad spend, regions and languages.
- Runs its own campaigns and leaves the ones you built alone.
Where it stops
- 1It runs inside a Shopify store and reports store orders and sales.
- 2Your monthly budget is a spend target: Shopify says delayed attribution can push spend past it, and you can request a credit for the difference.
- 3Its help pages describe a single approval setting for all changes.
- 4It leaves your existing campaigns untouched by design, so improving them stays your job.
- 5Its ads use your catalog images; it doesn’t generate new ad creative.
Side by side, with cost
| Question | Shopify Campaign Autopilot | Heraldic |
|---|---|---|
| Your limits | A monthly budget target it can overshoot (Shopify credits the difference on request), plus targets for return on ad spend, regions and languages | Daily spend caps, a 20% limit on each change, and contact and content rules, checked before every change; no raise once the month’s cap is reached |
| Who acts | Autopilot launches and funds ads on its own or after your approval; you approve every email tactic | Agents propose; for each kind of action, you choose whether it waits for you |
| What it runs | Meta, Microsoft and Snapchat ads, Shop Campaigns, Shopify email and product SEO, for Shopify stores | Paid ads and lifecycle email, with an agent for each job |
| Judged on | Reach, sessions, orders and sales for each tactic | Your conversion events, each valued by what it’s worth to you |
| The record | A timeline of actions for each tactic | Every action, with who proposed it, why, the checks it passed and who approved it |
| Creative | Ads from your catalog images; it writes and styles its own emails | Images and copy drafted from your approved library; none runs until it’s approved |
| What it costs | Free on paid Shopify plans except Agentic; the ad platforms bill ad spend, and Shopify bills Shop Campaigns and email sends. | Not set yet. Ad spend goes straight to the ad platforms |
When to choose it instead
If you sell on Shopify and want ads and email started from your store at no fee. If you need hard limits, a rule for each kind of action, and work on the campaigns you already run, that’s what agents here do.
Questions about this comparison
Autopilot is free. Why pay for this?
Pricing isn’t set yet. What you’d pay for: daily spend caps and a limit on each change, checked before every change; your choice of rule for every kind of action; agents working on the campaigns you already run; and every action on the record, across ads and email.
Can an agent set a budget past my cap?
No. Daily caps, for each agent and for the company, are checked when an agent proposes a change and again right before it’s made, at every permission level. Once the month’s spend reaches your monthly cap, no agent can raise a budget.
Does it work for a business that sells through leads?
Yes. Conversion events can come from your store, your CRM or the events API, so agents can judge a lead-generation funnel on stages like qualified lead and signed contract.
